Even high handicappers will have no difficulty in recognising whether their ball is on the fairway or in the rough!Seven ponds and lakes divided between six holes, and sixty snow white quartz filled sand bunkers ensure that even the most experienced players rarely return to the clubhouse with the same ball that they started with.A good majority of river/stream systems and saltwater beaches host either resident or sea-run Cutthroat fisheries that can be quite surprisingly good at times.
There are several tough tee-shots requiring a good drive to narrow fairways or lay ups.
Aug 11 Stunning views, and a very interesting course layout, combined with some challenging holes.
A round at Golf de Andratx on foot is not the easiest due to large distances between green and tee, and the hilly terrain, and buggies are recommended for all but the fittest of players.
Golfers taking buggies, whilst others walk, offers its own problems, particularly at busy times.
The elevated tees and hilly terrain made you think about how to play each hole, and they were all different. Oct 07 This is a very smart course in classy surroundings, with views of Camp de Mar / Andratx area. We also enjoyed a few rounds of German beers on the terrace which overlooks the 18th green.
Jun 09 The course is tight and difficult, the greens were of a reasonable pace and the overall condition was excellent. The following scores represent the percentage of our clients who marked the course as good or excellent in each of the following categories, and the rating in comparison to other courses. The scores are updated at the end of each year:- Elevated tee boxes and stunning views; many new water features under constuction, couple of par threes over water - great course! Aug 15 Best views from tee-boxes that I have ever seen. Each hole has a feature, or features, that make it memorable.Had so much fun, that it’s in my top three favourite courses!Sep 09 Course was in excellent condition and the staff very friendly. Layout was challenging but not unplayable even for 20 handicaps. Buggies are essential as there are long distances between some greens and the next tee.The 18 hole championship course is already well known as one of the most difficult and challenging in the Mediterranean, and is praised for its originality. A good straight drive is needed in order to give the best line into the green for the second shot, with the raised green being protected by a typical Mallorcan stone wall at the front.
